  • DESCRIPTION OF THE CEMETERY

The cemetery is about a four acres in size and located behind (East of) Saint Boniface Church's sanctuary and rectory. The cemetery is referred to the "old cemetery" as a new and much larger one was created across the street. The "new" appears to have burials from the mid-20th Century to the present.

The photos were taken on a cold and damp day in April of 2000. I have promised myself a return visit to take more cheerful photos, but to this hour, it has not happened. I walked the cemetery and tool photos of any headstones I could find with familiar family names. The relationship of some of the individuals to me is not known. Ah...the need for further research!

I apologize for the large images linked to the thumbnails. This page was created somewhat spontaneously and time for refinement was not at hand. Click on the photo to view the enlargement. Information below the photos are the file size in kilobytes, and image size in pixels.

Found face-down for no apparent reason. Located in front of the black iron cross in the North view photo.

This was the last photo of the day. I had no idea why I turned it over but as the old saying goes, "Leave no stone unturned." I guess it was based on some real wisdom.
